Camalla Ann Adams, daughter of Harold and Neola (Gleanager) Thompson, was born on Friday, September 29, 1961, in Windom, Minnesota. She attended and graduated from Windom public schools. Upon graduation, Camalla went to school at the Middletown Academy in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for Cosmetology, and stage makeup. She was a licensed Cosmetologist and carried her own business license for Living Life Stories. Camalla worked a variety of jobs from Univac, the Chocolate Factory, youth counselor in Elmore, emergency room aide in LeCenter, Fingerhut, Good Samaritan Society in Jackson, the wash-rack, and Southwest Coaches. Camalla was living in the twin cities and moved back to take care of her father. She met her life partner Eric Adams. They were united in marriage on February 25, 1995, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson. She was fortunate to gain 3 stepchildren Nathan, Ginger and Jason. On Saturday, June 5, 2021, Camalla entered into rest at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 59 years, 8 months, and 6 days.

Camalla was an outgoing lady. She enjoyed being outside working in her flower and vegetable gardens, mowing the lawn, and as a child being with the horses. Camalla was a talented calligraphy artist. She was known for being quite the prankster. Eric and Camalla did a fair amount of traveling, with trips to Duluth and a cruise being the most cherished. Camalla had a heart of gold. She was a very generous person and was willing to help anyone out that was going through a rough time. Camalla had a smile that was contagious. She will be remembered by many for her generosity, smile and sense of humor.

Camalla is survived by her husband of 26 years Eric; stepchildren Nathan Adams, Ginger (Chad) Streiff, and Jason (LeAnn) Mix; grandchildren Hunter and Patience Adams, Nalah, and Kiara Streiff, and Elizabeth, Adam, and Breanna Mix; brothers Malon Thompson, Charles (Nancy) Thompson, and Harlow Thompson; sister-in-law Susan Fordstrom; nephews Andy Thompson and Shane Witte, along with numerous other nieces and nephews.

Camalla is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Neola, and sister-in-law Mary Jo Thompson.
