Charles Allen Obituary

Charles “Chuck” Allen, age 67, of Alpha, Minnesota, passed away peacefully, at his residence, with his wife Mary by his side, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Union State Line Church in Petersburg.

In lieu of flowers a donation to Loon Lake Cemetery Preservation or the Union State Line Church in honor of Chuck are preferred. 

Charles Clay Allen, son of Luvern and Eleanor (Fitch) Allen, was born on April 9, 1954, in Jackson, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson. Charles attended Jackson schools and graduated from Jackson high school in 1972. Charles lived in Petersburg Township, his entire life. Where he was a member of Union State Line Church, in Petersburg. Charles was united in marriage to the love of his life Mary Stuber on July 23, 1977, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. They made their forever home together on the farm in Petersburg, where together they raised their 2 daughters Jennifer and Elizabeth. Charles worked at AgChem/AGCO in the paint department. Charles passed away, with his wife Mary by his side, at their home, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the age of 67 years, 5 months, and 27 days.

Charles was an outgoing and adventurous gentleman. He could always be found, tinkering out on the farm on one of his many old engines or tractors. Charles had a soft spot for animals, especially Kirby, his mini donkey. He was an avid drawer of pencil and fine point pen. Charles also enjoyed blacksmithing. He always attended the Butterfield threshing bee, the LeSeuer Swap meet, looking for the best deal, and was the founding member of the Buffalo Ridge Renegades.  Charles was a collector of firearms, military, and black powder. While Charles was continuously on the move, he made sure to take time out of his day for his family. He thrived on each and every moment that he was able to spend with his family, and his grandchildren.

Charles is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary C; daughters Jennifer (Lawrence) Hacker and Elizabeth (Mat) Fogelson; grandchildren Annabelle and Ayla Hacker, and Trinity Allen and Clay Folgeson; niece Amy Allen and nephew Greg (Josie) Allen.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Luvern and Eleanor, 2 infant brothers, and a brother Perry.
