Daniel Jerome Leckband

Daniel Leckband, age 60, of Worthington, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at his residence.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022, at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Ocheyedan, Iowa, with Pastor John Schuetz officiating, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to bring a lawn chair for the service.

Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran School, 620 Bush St. in Lakefield, MN, 56150.

Daniel Jerome Leckband was given life by his creator and was born on October 4, 1961, the child of Royce and Dolores (Milbrath) Leckband in Springfield, IL. He was born again as a child of God in the waters of Holy Baptism. God gave Dan a confident hope in Christ and the assurance of eternal life.

Dan graduated from high school in Marshall, Minnesota, in 1979. He attended Concordia College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and graduated in 1983.

God blessed Dan’s life with many special people as he served God, especially in the way he cared for his parents in their final years, and also in the communities in which he lived. Finally, on June 14, 2022, God blessed Dan with a holy death and took him home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents. 

Dan is survived by two brothers - Tom and Debbie Leckband of Sioux Falls, SD, Jerome and Kristi Leckband of Foster, NE; one sister -  Elizabeth Patterson of Waseca, MN; nieces - Kali, Lauren, Jordan, Joanna, and Maria; nephews- Matt, Nicholas, Noah, Braden, and Josiah; one great-niece - Ellie; Aunt Marlys Kilen of Cloquet, MN; Uncle Mel and Anita Milbrath of Paducah, KY; and many cousins.
