Delpha Jeppesen was born November 16th, 1932, on a farm near Okabena, MN to Linver and Minnie (Sandberg) Pietz. She graduated from Okabena High School in 1950, attended Mankato State College for one year, and then returned to work in a store in Lakefield. She met Richard Jeppesen, and on May 4th, 1952, they were married in Heron Lake. They made their home on the Jeppesen farm in Lakefield where they raised four children. After the children were all in school, she worked at the Jackson County DAC for many years. Richard passed away June 5th, 2000. In 2017, Delpha became a resident of Valleyview Assisted Living, and in January of 2020, she moved into the Colonial Manor Nursing Home, where she passed away peacefully, on Friday, November 25, 2022,  at the age of 90 years, and 9 days.

Delpha was a very active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and was appointed to the MN River Area Agency on Aging for a term.

Delpha had a real zest for life and loved nothing more than to be with family and friends. She greatly enjoyed entertaining and cherished many close friendships in Bridge Club, Supper Club, and weekly coffee club. She was an avid reader, produced many wonderful “cross stitch” pieces, and crossword puzzles were a daily ritual for many years. She traveled widely in her retirement, visiting much of the US.

Delpha is survived by her four children: Debra (Dave) Franks, Kevin Jeppesen, Tami (Bob) Starner, and Joel Jeppesen. Her granddaughter Jennifer & great granddaughters Emily & Erin. Her brother Curtis & sisters-in-law Shirley & Nancy Pietz.

Delpha is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and brother Milton.
