Donald Sebby

Donald Sebby, age 73 of Jackson, Minnesota passed away on February 18, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society in Jackson. A private family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Osterberg Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve DeKok officiating. A public visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Osterberg Funeral Home in Jackson.

Donald Richard Sebby, son of Glenn and Darlene (Walter) Sebby, was born on Wednesday, February 19, 1947 in Jackson, Minnesota. He attended Middletown Township country school and graduated from Jackson High School in 1965. Upon graduating from high school Don attended Jackson Vocational and Technical College, receiving his certificate in mechanics. In 1969, Donald entered into the Army National Guard. Don loved Jackson and made a life here for himself and his two children, Kevin, and Rachel. He spent many years farming his land and working in the farming industry. For the past 33 years Don shared his life with Sandy Johnson.  Over the last 8 months, Don’s health progressively declined as he battled cancer. Donald passed away at the Good Samaritan Society in Jackson, Minnesota, on Thursday, February 18, 2021, at the age of 73 years, 11 months, and 29 days,

Don had a kind heart and a strong work ethic. He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need and was a friend to all. Don enjoyed going to the races, taking snowmobiling trips and giving the kids rides on the tractor, combine, and snowmobile.  Together, Don and Sandy loved spending time on Lake Havasu, for the past 12 years they drove south to Arizona and spent a month there. Don was a devoted father and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Donald has left behind a lifetime of memories for his family and friends to cherish.

Donald is survived by his long-time significant other, Sandy Johnson; his two children Kevin (Leigh) Sebby, and Rachel (Lee) Mathias, his five grandchildren Jaxon and Tyson Sebby, Hunter, Hilary, and Tanner Mathias; his mother Darlene; and his brother Daniel Sebby.

Donald is preceded in death by his father Glenn and brother Dale Sebby.
