On October 22, 1948, Donna Mae was united in marriage to Clyde C. Pohlman at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. They were blessed with 3 boys James, Brad, and Ted. Growing up on the farm, Donna Mae along with her 3 sisters were taught the importance of hard work, helping out with all the chores that needed to be done. She carried this throughout her lifetime, working side by side with her husband Clyde out on the farm, even owning her own tractor. They retired from farming in 1991 and moved to town. Donna Mae had a strong faith in the Lord. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran, where she served on the funeral committee, ladies’ aide, and taught Sunday school. Throughout the last 3 years, due to health reasons, Donna Mae lived in Valleyview Assisted Living, Colonial Manor Nursing home, and most recently Lakeview Assisted Living in Heron Lake. On Tuesday July 4, 2023, Donna Mae was joined by her Lord and Savior at the age of 93 years, 5 months, and 25 days.

She and Clyde liked galivanting to local towns going through car lots, looking at tractors and a nice meal at a small café. Donna Mae was an amazing friend, and great neighbor. She loved her family and adored each and every moment she spent with them.
