Greg Geesman, age 49, of Tampa, Florida, originally from Jackson, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023, at the Osterberg Funeral Home in Jackson, and will continue one hour prior to service on Saturday at the church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2023. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson, with Pastor John Schuetz officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Jackson.

Greg Charles Geesman was born to Carolyn and Guy Geesman in Jackson, Minnesota on the 10th of April 1974. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson, Minnesota. Greg attended Jackson High, he was an active member of 4-H and FFA, with specific interest in showing Hogs and Sheep. Following high school graduation in 1992, he owned a Farrow to Finish Hog operation. Greg attended Minnesota West, Worthington Campus for 2 years, while working at New Fashion Pork. He completed his degree in Finance at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Following college, Greg was employed by Piper Jaffray for several years before moving to Tampa, Florida in 2004. Over the past 18 years he has been employed by Raymond James Financial as a Senior Accountant on the Fixed Income Capital Markets Financial Reporting team within the Firm’s Finance Department. He was solely responsible for all of the financial reporting of our Public Finance business.
Greg had a passion for his profession and spending time with friends and family. Distance from the farm didn’t keep Greg from staying in touch with his farming roots.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Geesman, brother Gene Geesman (Marcia), sister Diane Anderson (Russel), sister Lori Winter (Ron), sister Terri Burmeister (Jeff), and his beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his father, Guy Geesman, sister, Gail Geesman and his beloved dog Higgins.
