On Oct 17,2020, Holden Lucas Broitzman beloved son, brother and friend passed away at the age of 18.

Holden was born in Windom, MN on October 9, 2002 to Jeff and Cari Broitzman. Holden attended church and AWANA at Windom Evangelical Free Church. He loved Jesus and was baptized on August 29, 2010.

Holden could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed playing sports for many years and particularly loved basketball. Many hours were spent playing basketball at Dumont City Park with his friends.

Music was Holden's passion. He loved playing his drum set and percussion in band, as well as jazz band. As assistant to Mrs. Colby, the band teacher, he enjoyed helping order new instruments and tuning them. Jamming with his friend Nate was a favorite activity and he even had the opportunity to play with David Ellefson of Megadeth on his 16th birthday.  A gifted musician, Holden recently taught himself to play guitar.

Holden had a great work ethic. He started working at Burger King at the age of 15, and later worked at Walmart, Santee Restaurant, Cranston Construction and was currently employed at Fisherman's Factory Outlet in Spirit Lake.

Holden's friendships were important to him - Cole, Clay, Sam, Jon and many more. Many hours were spent with them fishing area lakes.  Boating and tubing at Sam’s family lake cabin was a favorite pastime.  Hailey, Holden's girlfriend and her family held a special place in his heart. Holden loved his 2 brothers, sharing a passion for music with his brother Evan and a love of the outdoors with his brother Levi.

Holden is survived by his parents, Jeff and Cari Broitzman; siblings Levi and Evan, girlfriend Hailey Obernolte; grandparents, Duane and Deb Broitzman, Denny and Hertha Steckelberg, and Brent Buchanan; great grandparents Tony and Anne Chavez; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
