Ireen Kielblock, age 99, of Jackson, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society in Jackson. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Salem Lutheran Church in Jackson, with Pastor Eunice Woodberry officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will take place following the funeral service at Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Ireen Anita-Leona Kielblock, daughter of Arthur and Ida (Lillery) Halverson was born on Saturday, September 2, 1922, in Belmont Township, Jackson County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at the Hauges Lutheran Church. Ireen attended school in Jackson through the 8th grade. She later obtained her GED. At the age of 19, Ireen got on a bus and traveled to Baltimore, to be with Gordon. Gordon and Ireen were united in marriage on May 9, 1942, at the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Baltimore. They lived in Baltimore for a short time, then Gordon’s job transferred to Omaha, Nebraska, where they lived for 1 year. Gordon and Ireen then moved to Jackson. Ireen worked at a variety of jobs from housework and cleaning for Dora, parts person for Glen L. Martin Company, receptionist, and customer service at Joul Pharmacy. Ireen also helped her husband Gordon with farming. In November of 2011, Ireen became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Jackson, where she passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the age of 99 years, 5 months, and 3 days.
Ireen was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Jackson, where she served as treasurer and was involved in the Ruth Circle. She enjoyed playing cards and was in the 500 and Bridge Club. Ireen was also a member of many birthday clubs. She loved to entertain, always bringing out her beautiful dishes and glasses. Ireen has left a lifetime of memories for her family and friends to cherish.
Ireen is survived by her daughter Patricia (Richard) Nasby of New Richmond, Wisconsin; son Thomas (Karen) Kielblock of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Angela Nasby, Scot (Paola) Kielblock and Christian Nasby; great grandchildren Jaxson Kielblock and Beckham Kielblock; sister Valerie Westby; sisters in law Nancy Kielblock, Mary Halverson, and Carole (Ron) Berkness; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Ireen is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Gordon Kielblock, parents Arthur and Ida Halverson, siblings Palmer Halverson, Osina Hartjen, Thelma Sather, Amos Halverson, Clifford Halverson, Parker Halverson, and Edna Mae Olson; grandson Ryan Kielblock; in laws James Kielblock, Norma Kielblock, Gene Kielblock, Fred Jr. Kielblock.
