Irene Louise Williams

Irene Williams, age 95, of Jackson, Minnesota passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Lakes Regional Health Care Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Salem Lutheran Church in Jackson with Pastor Eunice Woodberry officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022, at the Osterberg Funeral Home in Jackson, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday at the Church. Burial will follow the funeral service at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Jackson.

Irene Louise Luebben was born September 29, 1926, in Ewington Township, Jackson County, Minnesota to the late Albert and Emma (Christian) Luebben. She received her education in the rural schools of Rost Township until the 8th grade. Irene was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rost Township, Jackson County. On October 24, 1948, Irene was united in marriage to Carl Williams, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church north of Lakefield, Minnesota. The couple lived in Middletown Township for many years. Irene was a member of the “Know your Neighbor” birthday club. She also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family. She looked forward to eating out once a week with a group of friends. Everyday she would host morning coffee, and all were welcome, making sure to have plenty of food on the table. Irene was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Jackson. Irene passed away February 9, 2022, at Lakes Regional Hospital in Spirit Lake, Iowa at the age of 95 years.

Irene is survived by her four children Lila Pierce, Linette (Hofbauer) Van’tHul, Clayton (Bette) Williams, and Steven (Diana) Williams all of Jackson; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband Carl Williams, her parents Albert and Emma Luebben; brothers Herbert (Charlotte) Luebben and Loren (June) Luebben; sisters Ella (Milo) Tungland and Bernice (Darwin) Beam; sons-in-law Steve Pierce, Dwayne (Butch) Van’tHul and Scott Hofbauer Sr.
