Jose Luis Angel Jr. Fuentes

Jose Luis Angel Jr. Fuentes, of Heron Lake, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, at the Windom Area Health Center. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heron Lake. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Sacred Heart, with a visitation held one hour prior to mass. Burial will follow funeral mass at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Heron Lake.

Jose Luis Angel Jr. Fuentes, hijo de Jose Fuentes y Brenda Jimenez, nació el viernes 9 de junio de 2006 en Windom, Minnesota. José creció en Heron Lake y fue bautizado en la fe católica en la Iglesia Católica del Sagrado Corazón en Heron Lake, Minnesota. Era estudiante de primer año en la Escuela Heron Lake Okabena, donde jugó fútbol americano y béisbol durante unos años. A José le gustaba pasar su tiempo con su hermano y hermana, así como con otros miembros de la familia y amigos jugando videojuegos. José falleció el lunes 21 de febrero de 2022 en el Centro de Salud del Área de Windom, a la temprana edad de 15 años, 8 meses y 12 días.

José será muy extrañado por su familia y los grandes amigos que formaron parte de su vida.

 A José le sobreviven sus padres José y Brenda, su hermana Jacqueline Fuentes, su hermano Enrique Fuentes, sus abuelos Javier Guerrero y Dora Jiménez, sus tíos Javier Jiménez y Octavio (Amanda) Jiménez, su tía Jennifer Jiménez y sus primas Alexia y Gabriella, junto con muchos otros familiares y amigos.

 José es precedido en la muerte por sus bisabuelos Manuel Mariscal y Esther Guerrero, y su tío Octavio Mariscal.

Jose Luis Angel Jr. Fuentes, son of Jose Fuentes and Brenda Jimenez, was born on Friday, June 9, 2006, in Windom, Minnesota. Jose grew up in Heron Lake and was baptized into the Catholic faith at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heron Lake, Minnesota. He was a freshman at the Heron Lake Okabena School where he played football and baseball for a few years. Jose enjoyed spending his time with his brother and sister as well as other family members and friends playing video games.  Jose passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, at the Windom Area Health Center, at the young age of 15 years, 8 months, and 12 days.

Jose will be greatly missed by his family, and the great friends that were a part of his life.

Jose is survived by his parents Jose and Brenda, sister Jacqueline Fuentes, brother Enrique Fuentes, grandparents Javier Guerrero and Dora Jimenez, uncles Javier Jimenez and Octavio (Amanda) Jimenez, aunt Jennifer Jimenez, and cousins Alexia and Gabriella, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Jose is preceded in death by his great grandparents Manuel Mariscal and Esther Guerrero, and uncle Octavio Mariscal.
