Kim Marie Nesmoe, daughter of Richard and Darlene (Reineke) Hample was born on Wednesday, June 10, 1959, in Jackson, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Kim attended and graduated from Jackson High School in 1977. She lived her entire life in Jackson. Kim married the love of her life Wayne Nesmoe on September 12, 1986, at Kilen Woods State Park. Wayne and Kim built their forever earth home together in Jackson. She enjoyed volunteering at Fort Belmont for many years. Kim worked at the Handeveit and Anderson Law office for 20 plus years, until she suffered from a stroke due to a cancerous brain tumor in 2015. Kim then became a resident at the Good Samaritan Society in Jackson, where she passed away with her family by her side on Monday, April 4, 2022, at the age of 62 years, 9 months, and 24 days.

Kim was a quiet and feisty lady. She and Wayne enjoyed decorating their home together with vintage collectibles such as Red Wing crocks, John Deere toy tractors, Coca-Cola memorabilia and rocking horses. Kim loved her pets, especially Old English Sheepdogs, which she and Wayne raised. She liked gardening of flowers and plants, reading, scrapbooking, bowling, horseback riding, flea markets, walking with friends, and traveling. A few of Kim’s favorite trips were to the Grand Canyon, Bahamas, Canada, and a long road trip to the west coast. During her travels, she was able to check off the top items on her bucket list including a hot air balloon ride in Sedona, Arizona, and sky diving to celebrate her 50th birthday. Kim’s family is deeply grateful for the staff at Good Sam for the incredible and compassionate care she received. The staff not only became good friends of Kim’s, but were a family to her, even giving her the nickname “Kimmy.” Kim enjoyed all the visitors, cards, and flowers that she received over the years, especially the frequent visits from Gladys and Jerry Mellum. Kim has left a lifetime of memories for her family and friends to cherish. We know Kim now has renewed strength and soars to the highest of heights with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Kim is survived by her father Richard Hample; brother Ken Hample; sister Karen (Steve) Pennaz; Godmother and aunt Lorna Bader; Aunt Irene Anderson; stepson Nehemiah; nieces: Maddie and Catie; nephews: Colt, Brent, Adam, and Pierce; first cousins Sharon and Deb, along with numerous other relatives, and friends.

Kim is preceded in death by her husband Wayne, mother Darlene, and grandparents Lloyd and Mary Hample, and William and Alwine Reineke.

Blessed be the memory of Kim Marie Nesmoe.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”.          Isaiah 40:31
