Leonard August Pribyl

Leonard August Pribyl, 84 of Jackson, Minnesota, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Society in Windom, Minnesota. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Jackson with Father Jonathan Fasnacht officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Burial at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Jackson will be immediately following mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Leonard August Pribyl, son of John and Rose (Krejci) Pribyl, was born on Monday, December 7, 1936. Leonard was born and raised in Jackson, Minnesota, he attended school and graduated in 1954. He met the love of his life, Mary Werner, and they were united in marriage at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Jackson on July 26, 1969. Leonard was a farmer at heart and spent his life on an acreage in Jackson. He also worked for 15 years with Svoboda Excavating. On Saturday, June 5, 2021, Leonard was called home to his Lord and Savior, at the age of 84 years, 5 months, and 28 days.

Leonard was a kind and caring man, who cherished his family, friends, and his faith. He was always quick with a joke and loved to give people a hard time. In the summer months, Leonard could be found tending to his vegetable garden and later taking the time to can and freeze the produce. He was a devoted husband and enjoyed helping Mary grade school papers at the dining table. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop and had a passion for collecting antique tractors.

Leonard is survived by his nieces and nephews: Steve and Amy Pribyl, Lori and Phil Gardner, Kevin and Linda Pribyl, Kathy and Gary Swenson, and Patrick Pribyl. Many great-nieces, great-nephews, and great friends.

Leonard is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his parents John and Rose, and his brother Joseph.
