Lorie Marie (Kraft) Hanson

Lorie Marie (Kraft) Hanson, age 65 of Lakefield, Minnesota passed away at her residence on Friday, July 2, 2021.

Lorie Marie Hanson, daughter of Loren W. and LaVonne Rae (Rue) Kraft was born on Thursday, November 3, 1955, in Lakefield, Minnesota.  Lorie was one of six children in the family. She attended and graduated from Lakefield Public Schools.  Lorie settled and made her home in Menomonie, Wisconsin.  Lorie was blessed with 3 boys Ian, Jackson, and Harley.  Once the boys were raised, she worked at the local grocery store where she made many good friends.  In 2019, Lorie moved back to her hometown of Lakefield, MInnesota to be closer to her mother LaVonne and her family.  Lorie was called home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 2, 2021, at the age of 65 years, 7 months, and 29 days.

Lorie enjoyed living the quiet, relaxing, simple life.  She liked to cross-stich and sew and loved crossword puzzles.  Lorie loved animals, especially her 2 Labs Clyde and Kota.  While her boys were younger, Lorie spent many hours running them to sports activities, and watching their games.  She looked forward to her trips to Lake Ida with the family.  Over the last couple of years, Lorie was fortunate to have her sister-in-law Kathy Kraft and Kathy’s grandsons Audien and Ryler, as a big part in her daily life. Lorie enjoyed the daily visits and check-ins with them.  Lorie will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Lorie is survived by her children Ian (Deryn) Hanson, Jackson Hanson, and Harley Hanson; grandson Trevor Hanson (Ian); brothers Bruce Kraft and Billy (Teresa) Kraft; sister Trudy (Ern) Malchow; brother-in-law Larry Kraft; sister-in-law Kathy Kraft; along with numerous other relatives.

Lorie is preceded in death by her parents Loren and LaVonne, sister Susan, and brother Brian.
