Marjorie Mavis Kutzbach Scott, daughter of Ervin and Mildred (Habeck) Kutzbach, was born on Saturday, December 10, 1938, in Worthington, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Worthington. Marjorie attended and graduated from Round Lake Schools in 1957. Upon graduation she attended beauty school in Fairmont. Marjorie was united in marriage to Ron Scott on November 16, 1958, at Grace Lutheran Church. Although this union was later dissolved, they were blessed with 3 children Ron, Delores, and Marjean. Marjorie lived in various places, before planting her roots in Jackson, where she proudly raised her 3 children by herself. Once all the children where in school, Majorie worked in housekeeping at the Jackson Hospital and the Good Samaritan Society until retiring in 2000. Due to health issues, Marjorie moved into the Pines Assisted Living and later became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Jackson. On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, Marjorie passed away, with her family by her side at the age of 84 years, 7 months, and 21 days.

Marjorie was a very determined and hardworking woman. She always made sure her family was taken care of. Marjorie enjoyed putting puzzles together, doing word finds, bird watching, and people watching. She was an avid reader, and a member of the Book Club at the Jackson Library.  She went on many VIP bus trips, sponsored by Bank Midwest. Marjorie liked getting together with her friends for coffee and chatting. Above all, Marjorie loved eating ice cream, spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Marjorie will be greatly missed by all.

Left to cherish the memories of Marjorie are her children: Ron (Paula) Scott of Jackson, Delores (Jeff Zelinko) Kolander of Lakefield, and Marjean (Matt) Dorschner of Lakefield; grandchildren: Nicole (Josh) Krenz, Alisha (Johnny) Weland, Kelsey Scott, Melanie Day, Tim Kolander, Dillon (Samantha) Kolander, and Amber (Henry) Ombongi; great-grandchildren: Payton Scott, Melia Day, Oliver, Charlotte with 1 on the way,  Kolander,  Keyan, Tristan, and Cysen Ombongi; sisters: Marlene (Doug) Nordquist of Windom, Mary Ann Winter of Worthington, Melinda (Arland) Lubben of Brewster: brother Gary (Brenda) Kutzbach of Spirit Lake, along with extended family members and great friends.
