Meridith Leone Grams (Rossow) passed from this earth to eternal life, joining her God and Savior late Tuesday on February 23,2021. She was born on September 28,1933 in Heron Lake Township, Minnesota, the daughter of Erwin and Margaret(Thomson) Rossow. Meridith married the late Wayne Grams on February 11,1951.

Meridith, known as Merdy, by all who loved her, was tireless, loyal, and caring. Visitors to our home were alway welcomed. The oven would be warm with something rich, sweet and delicious to enjoy. It was a delight for her to try new recipes! She loved gathering with friends and family at all the big events or just having a cup of coffee with a friend. Her smile and laugh were infectious.

Merdy worked in the grocery business for many years. Back in the 1960s she started as a meat wrapper at National Tea. She worked into her 70s demonstrating new products or stocking shelves at HyVee. She loved the atmosphere. She loved the people. Being around her co- workers and customers she knew and loved gave her much satisfaction.

She truly loved and served our family her entire life. She instilled in us a love of nature through gardening-especially flowers. She showed us, through her example of how to serve the church. She was an active member of The Lutheran Church of Our Savior since childhood. I can still see her standing in front of the lower grades leading us as we sang: “Two Little Eyes to Look to God”

Meridith was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Grams and son Michael Grams. She is survived by her brother Willis Rossow(Mary), sons Bruce Grams(Elizabeth), Jon Grams(Deb), daughter Michell Porisch, 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Blessed be the memory of Meridith Leone Grams.
